Game Week 1

The first games of the new 2015/16 EPL season kicked off with one team in particular leading the charge and some pundits already predicting to be new season winners, Man City, as they gained their first convincing win over West Brom. Further south and London kicked off its first derby which saw Arsenal lose to West Ham. Liverpool had an expected win against Stoke, and Everton and Chelsea were held to draws against newcomers Watford and the improving Swansea.

In the PDL (Premier Dealers League) Simon Cummings team Mid Table Madness had a great start with 63pts to top the league closely followed by Phil Charlton’s - The Ding Dons in second and a joint third position for Gareth Morgan’s - TyrannoSuarez-Rex and Pratik Patel’s - PLAYERS 11 on 50pts. Wooden spoon this week goes to John Wilson’s – Wilson Warriors; trailing with a slow 20pts start, perhaps as the name suggests needing a little more warrior spirit.

We're all looking forward to the start of Game Week 2, with a nice early start on Friday for Aston Villa v Man Utd and the weekend’s big game of Man City v Chelsea.

Good luck and play on!!

Game Week 27

After weeks of action in the Premier Dealers League we find McMorgan's Men are still rising high and is making the right choices at the right time, but can he be beat, there's still a good bag a weeks left to play.

Looking Back at the EPL and Game Week 27 saw Liverpool building a run together narrowly beating Man City 2-1 at Anfield and Arsenal triumphed over Everton beating them 2-0. The most exciting game of the week goes to Burnley v Swansea which saw Swansea win 1-0 with a last minute goal.

Game Week 28 is now on the doorstep and we have two London derby's of QPR v Arsenal at Loftus Road and West Ham v Chelsea at The Boleyn, so some good fixtures for local teams.

Good luck and play on!!

Game Week 2

We started Game Week 2 on the Friday with Aston Villa v Man Utd and Villa put up a great display against the reds only losing 1-0; whilst Mourinho’s boys travelled all the way up north to be commanded throughout the game losing 3-0, unexpected from the special one, we hope he isn’t getting complacent from topping the league last season. Elsewhere in the league Leicester pulled out a top performance against West Ham and Everton joined their Merseyside counterparts Liverpool to win their game 3-0 and 1-0 respectively.

Meanwhile in the Premier Dealers League we saw no change in the top 3 with Mid Table Madness, The Ding Dons and TyrannoSuarez-Rex in 1st, 2nd & 3rd position, but unfortunately Players 11 who shared joint 3rd last week only managed 48 points this week seeing them drop to 7th, but we’re confident we’ll see them rise up the ranks once again.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 3

Well what a boring week this week!! With 0-0 draws across some of the biggest names in the premiership, we’re disappointed with Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool, come on lads… Showing them how to create a thrilling 90 minutes was Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, West Ham and West Brom. Notes need to be taken and studied for next time.

More thrills were had across fantasy football’s Premier Dealers League as we saw Richie Rich 11 make his break for the top gaining 58 points, TyrannoSuarez-Rex holding onto 3rd position, but Mid Table Madness got toppled by Johnny Boys XI. We’ll be keeping an eye on 2nd place next week as just 1 point separates it from 3rd position.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 4

This week in the English Premier League there were some cracking games and a couple of upsets in there to. Southampton created some fantastic finishes with a 3-0 win over Norwich. Liverpool failed against West Ham and Man Utd disappointed their fans that travelled to Swansea, Tottenham Hotspur drew with Everton and sitting pretty are Man City who appear to be the team to beat at the moment.

We didn’t see any big game week points at the top of the Premier Dealers League this time round, but at mid-table Minesh Patel with his team Blue Parade scored a very respectful 64 points moving him up the scoreboard. Overall though the top of the table is very close with just one point separating 2nd, 3rd & 4th, but out on top this week is John Meadowcroft managing Johnny Boys XI with 220 points overall. Well done John, but how long can you hold the crown?

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 5

After an age of waiting for the international break to finish the EPL comes fighting back with some stonking games. Man Utd finally found the back of the net with a blinder of a game against their red Merseyside counterparts Liverpool.

Everton played host to their blue London counterparts and sent Chelsea packing with a 3-1 win, and Arsenal showed Chelsea how it’s done with a dominating win over Stoke 2-0 at home. Mid-table we’re pleased to see some emerging teams working their way up the ranks. Norwich is performing well, particularly this week with a 3-1 home win over Bournemouth and West Ham’s 2-0 win over Newcastle puts the Hammers within striking distance of the top 4.

In the PDL John Meadowcroft’s team Johnny Boys XI keeps up a good performance maintaining the top spot whilst the uniquely named team from Andrew Steward - Bains of Toast moves up to 2nd place with a cracking 74 points knocking Gareth Morgan’s TyrannoSuarez-Rex down to 3rd position.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 6

What a fascinating week of football it’s been with the mighty Man City’s most expensive side of all time being defeated 2-1 by West Ham, let’s hope we don’t see this happen next time or heads will surely roll at the Etihad Stadium.

Meanwhile The Devils showed them how it’s done with Van Gaal taking his men to a win at Southampton, but it wasn’t easy with the final score showing a drama that unfolded for them to achieve a 3-2 win. Elsewhere in the EPL Bournemouth won over Sunderland at home with a 2-0 win and Liverpool drew with Norwich at home, well done there to the Canaries.

In the Premier Dealers League there’s been some interesting activity this week with Richie Rich 11 getting the most points with a toptastic 83 points, which has helped Richard Hunt’s team get within knocking distance of first place.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 7

Well, Well, Well… who’s going to take the blame and get booted at Man City, very disappointing result for the blues with a 4-1 thrashing by Tottenham Hotspur, totally dominated, here’s hoping for their sake this doesn’t become a hat-trick of loses.

So it looked all rosy in London with no Capital City teams losing their games. Arsenal won 5-2 away at Leicester, Crystal Palace won 1-0 against Watford and both Chelsea and West Ham drew their games. Very impressive from the southerners.

Some movers and shakers in the PDL this week with 4 new entries in the top 10 and Phil Whittaker’s team, phils lady boys making good way moving inside the top 5.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 8

What a time not to be from the North East as Geordies and Maccums across the land hide in the shadows as their teams scrape the bottom of the EPL. The Magpies lost again in a dramatic 6-1 defeat against Man City who came fighting back from a below par performance to shine once again. Down south Man City’s rival's lead by Van Gaal slipped down the table by losing 3-0 to Arsenal at the Emirates. The Merseyside derby was a lacklustre affair with a 1-1 draw for Everton and Liverpool, but if you tuned into the Norwich v Leicester game you’d have been in for a treat as both team's were on top form.

In the PDL this week we had some monstrous scores with Dave Dobson’s team Hakuna Juan Mata coming out of no-where to achieve the dizzy heights of 104 points, closely followed by Lee Wilson’s mooliecosmos on 103; well done lads a very impressive score line.

Good luck and play on!!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 9

A strongly fought week of highs and lows in Game Week 9 of the EPL. Starting with the highs, Man City exercising their prowess entertaining Bournemouth to a 5-1 beating at the Etihad Stadium and some-how, but good to see, Newcastle having a winning week trumping Norwich 6-2 at St James’ Park.

The lows are poor Aston Villa who had little chance against Chelsea losing 2-0 and keeping Sunderland company in the relegation zone as the maccums stay firmly at the bottom losing 1-0 to West Brom on just 3 points.

In the Premier Dealers League we saw a high scoring week with Andrew Maher’s Chris Froome’s Army topping the weekly points with 87, and not too far behind on 83 was Chipsngravy’s Manager Mike Ahlgren.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 10

Game Week 10 has come to a close with Spurs out-shining all other teams by leading Bournemouth to a 5-1 defeat at Dean Court. Newcastle continues to disappoint losing 3-0 at the Stadium of Light and West showed the South how it’s done as the Hammers take the win to beat Chelsea 2-1 at the Olympic Park, Boleyn Ground.

After weeks of action in the Premier Dealers League we find a couple of none movers in the top spots one and two positions as John Meadowcroft’s Johnny Boys XI cling on to the top slot just 3 pts ahead of Richard Hunt’s team Richie Rich 11..

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 11

What an exciting week Game Week 11 has proved to be with Norwich playing excellently against Man City, although losing, they did well to only lose by one goal. Congratulations also goes to Crystal Palace who kept a draw score sheet at home against the mighty Man Utd.

Outside of the Manchester clubs both Merseyside teams won their games, Liverpool visiting Chelsea and emerging triumphant with a 3-1 win, and the Blue Scousers - Everton did fantastically well against Sunderland at Goodison Park winning 6-2.

In the Premier Dealers League this week there’s surprise as we have a new leader at the top of the board. Our usual front runners Johnny Boys XI managed by last month’s Manager of the Month John Meadowcroft and Richard Hunt with his team Richie Rich 11 are taking time out the spot light as Dave Dobson comes romping through with his team Hakuna Juan Mata. Well done to Dave and everyone in the league, it’s getting exciting.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 12

Stone the crows….or should that be stone the magpies…Newcastle Utd have won a game, unlucky Bournemouth, but it had to happen to somebody.

Seriously though, well done to the Toon Army for winning 1-0, and well done to Aston Villa for keeping Man City to a 0-0 draw at Villa Park. Some other notable games were Crystal Palace winning 2-0 at Liverpool’s home ground and Stoke winning over Chelsea 1-0 at their Midlands home, Britannia Stadium.

Interesting to see if some of the big clubs are running out of steam after such a furious start to the season, with some many mid-table favourites rising to the premiership challenge.

In the Premier Dealers League we see old faces emerging as Gareth Morgan, winner of the PDL 2013-2014 season comes out on top with a weekly score of 81 with his new team TyrannoSuarez-Rex, a whole 11 points ahead of Mid Table Madness managed by Simon Cummings, but well done Simon with 70 points. We’ll be watching week by week on performance, and every point gets you closer to Manager of the Month.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 13

Everyone’s been screaming ‘Leicester…Leicester’ and with good reason as they top the premiership. We’re pleased to see a change to the usual billion dollar backed clubs hogging the top spot as it makes for some interesting football.

Leicester reached the top by beating Newcastle 3-0, we’re not taking anything away from Leicester, but the win was handed to them on a plate as the Magpies once again prove their abysmal standard of premiership football, is it time for Steve McClaren to disappear quietly after Christmas?

In the rest of the EPL, although Watford lost to Man Utd and Norwich lost to Chelsea, it was some excellent football to watch, and our congratulations go to Sunderland who are fighting to get out of the relegation zone with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

In the PDL this week Simon Cumming’s team Mid Table Madness continues to do well with the highest points score this week of 88, but the highest mover up the table is Phil Charlton managing The Ding Dons entering the top 3. Well done to those guys and everyone in the league.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 14

So with Game Week 14 behind us there were some interesting results, particularly in the games that saw a draw. Norwich held the Gunners to a 1-all draw at Carrow Road, Bournemouth did well to draw against Everton at home with a 3-all draw, and most interesting to see was Leicester holding the mighty Man Utd to a 1-all draw in front of a home crowd, they’re doing fantastically well this season and hats off to them.

In the Premier Dealers League, Dave Dobson’s home grown talent Hakuna Juan Mata stays in the top spot with a fight for second place between John Meadowcroft’s Johnny Boys XI and Lee Wilson’s mooliecosmos with only 5 points separating them. This week’s top points score goes to Phill Whittaker’s team - phils lady boys, well done to Phill, keep up the pace there’s still plenty of time.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 15

Game Week 15 and Leicester go from strength to strength as they beat Swansea at home 3-0 which takes them 2 pts clear at the top above Arsenal, Man City and Man Utd in 2nd, 3rd & 4th position. These three giants of football can ill afford to make any mistake with Leicester doing so well. So this week we saw Arsenal win 3-1 against Sunderland at the Emirates, Man City lose 2-0 to Stoke at the Britannia Stadium and Man Utd draw 0-0 with West Ham at Old Trafford, looks like the Manchester teams need to pick their socks up to battle it out for the number one slot.

In the PDL this week the top Manager for this week has to be Geoff Clemow organising his team AllTheGearNoIdea to a 83 point total escalating him to the dizzy heights of 3rd place. Dave Dobson managing Hakuna Juan Mata maintains his top spot with Lee Wilson’s mooliecosmos still nipping at his heels. We’re very interested to see how the week pans out for the PDL leaders.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 16

The EPL has really opened up as we reach the mid-season stages with teams that once dominated the pitch being dominated by teams that were once a common sight at lower league levels.

In Game Week 16 we saw Norwich keep Everton to a 1-1- draw at Carrow Road, likewise West Brom kept Liverpool to a 2-2- draw at The Hawthorns and most impressive of all were Bournemouth notably saluted recently by Chelsea’s Mourinho, winning over Man Utd with a 2-1 victory at their home ground Dean Court.

In the Premier Dealers League we see a new leader in Lee Wilson and his team mooliecosmos, Dave Dobson’s Hakuna Juan Mata head down with a disappointing game week score of just 48, but points of the week go to Daniel Stringer managing his team TURD AFC who unlike their name appear to be coming to form by moving up to 8th position.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 17

It’s the last week of fixtures before Christmas day, so just how festive and giving were the teams in the Premiership?

Well as it turns out some were more giving than others. Man Utd gave a win away to Norwich losing 2-1 at Old Trafford, Liverpool visited Watford to give them a festive win 3-0 and Man City took a trip to the big smoke to hand Arsenal a 2-1 win at the Emirates Stadium.

In the Premier Dealers League there’s been a consistent scoring across the top bank of teams with no movers or shakers this week allowing Lee Wilson’s team mooliecosmos to become the Christmas number 1. However a big congratulations goes out to team Maddogs and their manager Sanjiv Tanda who although are fighting mid table in 25th position, secured game week points of 105, we’re all very impressed here, well done Sanjiv and merry Christmas to you and everyone in this years’ league.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 18-20 (Christmas & New Year Break)

The festive football season was a great distraction from the mince pies, but unfortunately not from the beers as front rooms and pubs were packed around the UK watching some cracking games.

Boxing Day highlights saw Southampton win 4-0 at home against Arsenal and Stoke beat Man Utd 2-0 at Britannia Stadium. Moving forward Stoke win again 3-4 this time away at Everton’s Goodison Park and the top boys draw as Leicester took on Man City and Man Utd hosted Chelsea at Old Trafford. The final week, Game Week 20 had Spurs step up to the plate drawing with Everton 1-1 and West Brom out shining Stoke to a 2-1 win.

In the Premier Dealers League Lee Wilson’s mooliecosmos stays top and remains a non-mover along with 2nd place Hakuna Juan Mata managed by Dave Dobson and 3rd place AllTheGearNoIdea coached by Geoff Clemow, but our congratulations goes to Phil Charlton managing The Ding Dons moving a hair’s breadth from entering the top 3 and using the festive season to move up 4 places. All exciting stuff as we look to the New Year and Game Week 21.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 21

What an interesting week of football, all except Man City v Everton where we were hoping for some goal action, but what a disappointment game that was. Elsewhere though, West Brom played outstanding to draw against a Chelsea, although without a Manager at the moment, the Chelsea lads played a great game. Liverpool and Arsenal went all out at The Kop taking 3 goals each and Leicester won again to remain in the top 3, well done Leicester, and well done to Spurs who although lost against the foxes have worked hard over the past few weeks to be at the top fighting.

Closer to home in the Premier Dealers League Lee Wilson with his team mooliecosmos (where did he get that name?!?!?) extends his lead by nearly 60 points ahead of Dave Dobson’s Hakuna Juan Mata. Shout out this week goes to Mick Jordan managing his team Rascals XI with a weekly win of 64 points which pushes him up to mid-table in 33rd position, well done Mick.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 22

How the weeks are shooting past with only a dozen game weeks left until the end of another exciting football season. Game Week 22 turned out to be a good one for Newcastle as they won 2-1 against West Ham to take them a spot above their local rivals Sunderland, who didn’t fare so well visiting Spurs at White Hart Lane losing 4-1. Here at PDL HQ we’ve got a soft spot for Stoke after seeing them perform well this season and did well this week to keep Arsenal to a 0-0 draw.

In the Premier Dealers League (PDL) this week, we have a new mover at the top knocking Phil Charlton’s The Ding Dons out of 3rd place to be replaced by Andrew Maher’s Chris Froome’s Army with a very respectable 66 points. Other than that, no other movers at the top, but this week’s congrats goes to two managers who both share the top score of the week with 74 points; well done goes to Nikesh Kotecha and his team Double Drop Dayz and Mike Ahlgren’s team Chipsngravy who currently sits just 4 points ahead of his points rival.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 23

Boom-bang-a-bang!! Unlucky Norwich, but well fought!! This week in the premiership everyone’s talking about the Norwich v Liverpool match at Plantation Park. Liverpool came out on top with a 5-4 victory, but we were very impressed with Norwich’s level of football, particularly for a team just one spot above the relegation zone.

Other games worth noting were Man Utd v Southampton, which with a loss for Van Gaal’s men could see the final nail in the coffin for his Manchester career. Swansea also did well to win against Everton at Goodison Park; although already a strong side, it was a great game with some great shots on target.

In the Premier Dealers League Lee Wilson’s mooliecosmos got knocked off the top spot with only 37 game week points by the top point’s scorer for the week Dave Dobson and his team Hakuna Juan Mata, who appear to be a regular high point scorer.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 24

We’ve had better game weeks of football, but the matches taking place in game week 24 were pretty unexciting. Sorry to sound so glum, but Leicester won again, albeit against Liverpool, but Vardy is a force to be reckoned with, the man’s like a human whippet. Spurs won over Norwich, Man City took a trip to the Stadium of Light to beat Sunderland, Man Utd were home to Stoke and luckily for Van Gaal thrashed them 3-0 to a home crowd, while Everton welcomed Newcastle to Goodison Park and sent them off packing with a 3-0 defeat.

Luckily for us, we have the Premier Dealers League to host our excitement. Maybe not at the top where we have 6 none movers, but in position number 8 comes Liam Barlow with his team 2 Goals 1 Cup Utd (interesting name Liam!!) scoring this week’s top points with a score of 96, successfully achieved with both Vardy and Kane up front; but can he keep rising up the ranks, we’ll find out next week.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 25

Gaps are exposed at the top of the EPL this week, as Leicester strike a win against Man City away to extended their lead by 5 points at the top; and with only 9 games left, bets are on as to whether they can make that gap bigger.

Joint 2nd place Arsenal and Spurs fight it out on 48 points by both winning their games this week against Bournemouth and Watford respectively. Although we’ve a soft spot for Everton, it was sore-sight to see Stoke taken to the cleaners with a 3-0 defeat in-front of a home crowd at Britannia Stadium. Stoke have been performing well this season and our prediction is they’ll rise up the ranks from their mid-table position.

In the PDL the top 3 stay the same with Dave Dobson’s Hakuna Juan Mata in the top spot extending his lead by 16 points and we’ve spotted 2 movers with an aim for greatness. Andrew Steward with his team Bains on Toast and Liam Barlow’s 2 Goals 2 Cup Utd, which have performed rather well the last few weeks. Well done gents, we’ll be keeping a close eye on the both of you.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 26

Wow!! What an interesting week of football, some real surprises that no one could have predicted. Man Utd travelled to the Stadium of Light for Van Gaal to get some desperately needed points, only to get a kicking by losing to regulation zone Sunderland, how embarrassing. Over the river the Magpies travelled down south to Stamford Bridge to get a thrashing from Chelsea with a 5-1 defeat. Another big score board saw Liverpool lick Aston Villa 6-0 and in front of an away crowd. Some real good football and more of it we hope.

In the PDL this week we have 6 none movers at the top of the table with the highest score of the week going to 37th position Liquorpool managed by Tom Notley. Well done Tom, you’ve chosen well this week and we hope to see you rise up the ranks as there’s still time to make an impact.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 27

The White Hart Lane’s boys have had a quick rise to the top and currently sit in 2nd place. Spurs had been top of mid-table for a while and showed no signs on aiming for the top spot until they gained a change of direction and won every game since mid-January; they now sit just 2 points from the top position and if they carry on with their current form Leicester could be in trouble. I’d mention other teams in the EPL this week, but it was a pretty standard week with all the teams you’d expect to win, winning…sorry, but no surprises this week.

In our local league, top points scorer of the week goes to Nikesh Kotecha managing Double Drop Dayz, congratulations Nikesh who currently resides in 8th place. Closer to the top Lee Wilson with team mooliecosmos sit just 2 points clear in first place, while Liam Barlow’s 2 Goals 1 Cup Utd and Chipsngravy managed by Mike Ahlgren gain 40-something points to enter the top 5.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 28

It only took a draw for Leicester to get back to the top spot, but luckily that’s because Spurs lost to their London rivals West Ham 1-0, but it’s still a celebration at White Hart Lane as it’s the first time they’ve been top for 50 years. At the opposite end of the EPL Sunderland look like they’re going down just as quickly as their star player Adam Johnson as they titter on the relegation zone, and all the hard work the Canaries put in to get in EPL might come to nothing as they swoop down a league.

More exciting news in the PDL as Dave Dobson managing Hakuna Juan Mata knocks mooliecosmos off the top spot, but with viewing his previous experience, we predict Lee Wilson will be back up top very soon. Overall there’s been more down movers than rising stars with 3 out of the top 5 moving downwards; but let’s stay positive as the next round of games appears imminently.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 29

So after another win the foxes extend their lead by 5 points and unfortunately due to a 2-2 draw against Arsenal at home, Spurs need to pull their socks up to get back in the fight; though our prediction is with the momentum Leicester have had for most of the season, we’ll be shocked, as well as the bookies, if they don’t finish top, but footballs a funny old game.

Elsewhere in the EPL Aston Villa showed they deserve their bottom of the league position losing 4-0 to Man City and Sunderland managed to crawl out of the relegation zone with a 1-1- draw against Southampton and Norwich losing 1-0 to Swansea.

In the Premier Dealers League this week there’s not much going on as the top 3 stay the same with non-movers, but Andrew Steward’s Bains on Toast nudges up with a very respectable 71 points. Speaking of respectable points, this week our congratulations go to Dave Dobson managing Hakuna Juan Mata with a larger than average 88 points, well done Dave!!

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 30

A short number of games this week with only 5 matches being played. Top of the list comes the Norwich v Man City game at Carrow Road with the Canaries working hard and making their owners proud by keeping Man City to a 0-0 draw. We’re pleased to see Leicester doing what they’re supposed to do and come out on top against Newcastle with a 1-0 win in front of a home crowd and congratulations to Southampton who beat Stoke away, although Southampton are further up the table than Stoke, Stoke have proven themselves to be a formidable side.

In the Square 1 Premier Dealers League, Andrew Steward’s Bains on Toast moves up another spot to get him in 3rd position, but there’s no change at the top for Dave Dobson’s Hakuna Juan Mata and Lee Wilson’s mooliecosmos which sit in 1st and 2nd position respectively.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 31

Game Week 31 came and went with little change to the top and bottom of the EPL. Leicester’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park kept them at the top accompanied by Spurs in 2nd place emerging triumphant from their 3-0 win against Bournemouth at White Hart Lane. Villa stay firmly at the bottom losing 0-1 to Swansea and none of the North East teams got a leg up by keeping each other to a 1-1 draw on derby day. Another derby draw saw the Hammers keep The Blues to a 1-1 score and team of the week goes to The Saints who fought off Liverpool to win 3-2 at home.

In the PDL this week we have no movers in the top 7 places, but positions 8-12 are all new risers. Our congratulations this week goes to local manager Nicola Duignan who selected brilliantly to score 90 points with team Burges Boys. Well done Nicola!!

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 32

All the 4’s… 4-0, 4-0, 4-0… as 3 of the top half of the table finish with the matching score 4-0. Chelsea visit Aston Villa at Villa Park to come home triumphant. Arsenal welcome Watford to Emirates Stadium to then send them home with their tails between their legs and Man City travel to the south coast to stop by Bournemouth for a 4-0 win.

Elsewhere in the EPL Man Utd play host to Everton and win 1-0 in front of a home crowd, Leicester win at home once again making them 7 points ahead of 2nd place Spurs who travelled to Merseyside to draw 1-1- against Liverpool at Anfield.

More importantly in the Premier Dealers League we have a new rising star in the form of home grown talent Andrew Steward managing Bains on Toast whose consistent scoring of late has boosted him to 2nd place, while Lee Wilson’s mooliecosmos takes a tumble to 3rd position. Could Dave Dobson’s Hakuna Juan Mata now be under threat with only 5 weeks left, it’s all very exciting as we count down the weeks.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 33

Only 4 game weeks remaining and Leicester increase their lead over 2nd place Spurs by 7 points. Both teams had a sterling performance in their league games. Leicester won away at Sunderland returning 2-0, but the best match of the two had to be Spurs hosting Man Utd at White Hart Lane and sending them packing with a 3-0 defeat. Elsewhere in the league Liverpool had a cracking game against Stoke entertaining them to a 4-1 beating, while in Wales, Swansea welcomed the Blues and won 1-0 in front of a home crowd at Liberty Stadium.

In the Premier Dealers League it’s a close game as Andrew Steward’s Bains on Toast and Lee Wilson’s mooliecosmos swap positions again for 2nd and 3rd place. Manager of the Week goes to Lee Morgan taking his team led-LEE Kings to a total weekly score of 87 points; a huge score, one of which we haven’t seen for a while, congratulations Lee.

Good luck and play on!!

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Week 34

Lots of action this week with 15 games being played over 5 days. Many good games, but not much time to mention them all so let’s pick some highlights. Sunderland performed well against Norwich to help them strive to get out of the relegation zone with a 3-0 win at Carrow Road. Likewise the Magpies matched their derby rivals with a 3-0 win against Swansea, but they’re now surely too far gone to stay in the premiership next season.

Manchester City won 3-0 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, but being 12 points off the top spot, they’ve little chance of ending top, but at least it looks like they’ll finish above their city rivals Man Utd.

In the PDL this week there’s no movers in the top 2, and although 2nd place mooliecosmos managed by Lee Wilson scored a mighty 141 points, it’s Hakuna Juan Mata managed by Dave Dobson who leads the way creating a gap of 75 points.

Top points this week goes to 3rd place Double Drop Dayz managed by Nikesh Kotecha with 144 points. Well done Nikesh and good luck with aiming for the top spot.

Good luck and play on!!

Game Week 35

Some surprises over the weekend as Newcastle kept Liverpool to a 2-2 draw at Anfield, which saw the home team winning confidently 2-0 until the closing minutes of the game, then the magpies hit back with two shots on goal and two goals scored. Other surprising news was Sunderland keeping Arsenal to a 0-0 draw at the Stadium of Light, but at least this keeps Sunderland out of the relegation zone. Leicester stayed top again with a 4-0 win over Swansea, whose performance has been very questionable of late.

In our own home-grown league of the Premier Dealers League, there’s no movers in the top five, and not a very exciting overall look at the league table this week with everyone scoring a lower number of points as normal; evident with the highest score coming from this week’s top Manager Lee Wilson taking his team mooliecosmos to 57 game week points. We hope to see a better performance in the closing weeks and finishing on a high.

Good luck and play on!!

Game Week 36

Well they did it…and we all knew they would as Leicester triumph at the top to win the 2016 Premier League. A way out 5000-1 chance at the start of the season they dominated the top tier for the latter half of the season and it’s well deserved and the first time in their history. The big question active on social media is will Gary Lineker do Match of the Day in his keks, it’ll be funny if he does J

In the Premier Dealers League Bains on Toast managed by Andrew Steward creeps back to take on the top arriving in 4th place; and moving up to 6th is our highest scorer of the week, Nicola Duignan managing Burges Boys scores 59. Although it was a high score it’s unlikely to take her near the top with our 1st position totalling an overall point score of 2,076 by Dave Dobson and team Hakuna Juan Mata.

Good luck and play on!!

Game Week 37

One game week to go before its all over and although no team can knock the foxes off the top spot, there’s some very exciting times for city rivals Spurs and Arsenal along with Man City and Man Utd as the cosy up to their derby kin in the table with just 3 points separating the London clubs and 2 points separating the Manchester teams.

Looking directly at game week 37 Newcastle seem to have sealed their fate only managing a 0-0 draw with Norwich. Sunderland pulled out all the stops to show a home crowd how they do it beating Chelsea 3-2, with Chelsea playing again a few days later to try to come out on top but get stuck with a 1-1- draw at Anfield.

In the PDL, Square 1 home grown talent Nicola Duignan gets our congratulations this week for Manager of the Week scoring 88 points as she skips merely up with the top scorers to be within 1 point of being in the top 3, but no other changes in the top 3 as they stand firm with Dave Dobson’s Hakuna Juan Mata at the top, over 60 points clear.

Good luck and play on!!

Game Week 38

They think it’s all over, it is now… now where have I heard that before??? Season 2015/2016 has come to a close with our final game week. Man City could have firmly moved above of their home rivals Utd, but with a Utd win against Bournemouth at Old Trafford and Man City drawing to Swansea, both North West teams finished on equal points of 66.

Elsewhere over the game week Newcastle had a cracking final game against Spurs winning 5-1, shame they’re falling into relegation. Stoke had a brilliant game against West Ham and Everton emerged triumphant against Norwich 3-0, but it was likely they were going to win.

In the PDL Our Season Kings are Hakuna Juan Mata managed by Dave Dobson with our in-house champion being Evertonian Lee Wilson with his team mooliecosmos. Down at the bottom of the league are aptly named Rodneys Donkeys and although our Teeside chum John Wilson has celebrated his team Middlesborough winning entry into the Premier League, thankfully they took no input for John as he finishes 3rd from bottom. Good luck next year chaps and Congratulations to our winners. See you all in August :-)
