After qualifying in 1991 as a Chartered Management Accountant, Patrick worked for Blue Chip companies in the civil engineering, publishing and packaging industries before moving to independent IT distributor European Micro plc. in 1996 as Financial Controller. A key member of the team that took European Micro to a successful NASDAQ listing in 1998, Patrick was promoted to the board in 2000. Co-leading the successful asset buy-out of European Micro in 2001, Patrick is now Finance and Operations Director at £25m turnover Square 1 Products Ltd. In 2008 he Co-founded the rapidly growing Square 1 Leasing & Finance Ltd, providing asset based funding packages to both corporates and individuals.
In charge of the Square 1 Products’ Technical Services Team is CTO Terry Dorricott. Terry began his career with one of the biggest European Networking Distributors, working his way up to a senior Account Manager position responsible for a global ISP. Terry’s next focus was Technical Presales where he achieved the highly regarded Cisco accreditation's CCNA and CCNP, before moving to assist in the set-up of a new and highly successful division within another Distributor before he came to Square 1 Products. Along the way Terry has achieved numerous other highly regarded accreditations in the network security and wireless technology sectors.
The principle point of contact for all Professional Services enquiries is Simon Cummings, who began in the IT industry in 1987, and was employed by Computacenter for 10 years in the Manchester distribution office as an Account Manager. Moving to Independent IT Distributor European Micro plc. in 1997, Simon pioneered the company’s expansion into Cisco products and more latterly developed and championed the Professional Services division.
Combining his passion for technology with his business degree, Lee’s career progressed into Managed IT Services specialising in Cisco. With specialised industry acumen, Lee was sought by Square 1 Products in 2001 to assist in the development of their Networking portfolio, which including Cisco, Juniper and Procurve, accounts for over 50% of the company’s annual turnover. Promoted to the Board of Directors in 2012 and still operating as one of the business’ key assets, Lee continues to evolve the firm’s Network offering and most recently was the driving force behind Square 1 Products first entry into the e-commerce market with the launch CompatibleSFP.com which provides alternative compatible SFP's for branded switches and routers including Cisco products.
